An Opcomm consultant was selected as the Project Manager of the Emergency Services Situational Awareness project (Firelink ®). The role included liaison with the supplier, ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT State Emergency Services to assist in the articulation of their operational requirements and to ensure that the project is able to meet those requirements. Our consultant was responsible for the creation, specification and conduct of system acceptance testing in accordance with endorsed system test plans and system engineering best practises. He was also responsible for budget management, contract changes, creation and dissemination of project reports in accordance with accepted Project Management Methodologies and the successful integration with existing critical dependant projects
